Algiers Economic Development Foundation (AEDF) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) are hosting a workshop on how to build wealth through government contracting. SBA staff will provide hands-on support with registering for the System for Award Management (SAM), the first step in identifying and submitting a bid on a government procurement contract.
SBA staff from the Louisiana District Office will discuss the following topics and provide hands- on assistance for small businesses to learn about government contracting:
- Learn the process for registering with SAM.gov and receiving a Unique Entity ID (UEI)
- Technical assistance with SAM.gov
- Detailed steps for placing a bid
- Finding and evaluating government contracting opportunities
- Understanding the bidding process and requirements
Please be sure to bring a laptop or tablet with you to this workshop to utilize the hands-on technical assistance.
